GOVERNOR’S MONTHLY LETTER AUGUST 2026 RAC Explorientation Year 9: Opening Doors to a Life of Service By: TLP Sheryl Marañon The Rotary Club of Midtown Quezon City proudly continues its support for its sponsored club, the Rotaract Club of Midtown Quezon City (RAC MQC), as it prepares for RAC Explorientation Year 9, its flagship membership and orientation initiative. Recognized as RAC MQC’s Most Outstanding Flagship Project last Rotary Year, RAC Explorientation has become more than an introduction to Rotaract. It serves as a gateway for young individuals to discover meaningful service, leadership, friendship, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. One of the continuing challenges faced by service organizations is reaching young people who are willing to serve but may not yet know where or how to begin. Through Explorientation, RAC MQC creates a welcoming space where prospective members can learn about Rotaract, understand its advocacies and activities, meet current members, and experience the fellowship that makes the organization unique. For its ninth year, RC Midtown Quezon City is actively supporting RAC MQC’s invitation and membership efforts, helping extend the project’s reach to more potential Rotaractors. This collaboration reflects Rotary’s commitment not only to sponsoring a Rotaract club, but also to strengthening and sustaining the next generation of service leaders. Through RAC Explorientation Year 9, the clubs hope to welcome new individuals who will eventually become active volunteers, advocates, project leaders, and partners in creating positive change. By helping RAC MQC grow its membership, RC Midtown Quezon City also helps ensure that the spirit of Service Above Self continues through a stronger, more engaged, and more sustainable Rotaract community.
